Peppard class - 28/06/2024

Date: 28th Jun 2024 @ 2:09pm

Welcome to our week in Peppard class.

It has been a very hot week and the children have coped amazingly well.  We have enjoyed all our activities and experiences.  The topic of Dinosaurs continues and we have been learning facts about dinosaurs, comparing sizes of dinosaurs, learning about history and time lines and using dinosaurs in role play.  Whilst the children are playing, we have observed lots of relevant language such as 'herbivore', 'carnivore' and 'long ago'.

In literacy on Friday, we talked about adjectives before using a feely bag to choose a dinosaur and think of three adjectives to describe it.  The children then wrote these adjectives in their writing books.

We had the most wonderful time at Forest camp this week.  It was my first time going along.  Sue used charcoal left over from a fire pit, to make some paint.  The children used the paint to make patterns and pictures on the tree, paper and fairy house.  Please do enjoy the display on the playground.

In maths, we have been practising odds, evens, number bonds and mapping.  We have enjoyed many activities and experiences.

Have a lovely weekend.
