Welcome to our week in Peppard class.

I am sure you were all as impressed with your children as I was this morning.  They have worked so hard this term and it really showed when they presented the story and their phonics with such confidence.

We have learned the sounds h, b,f, and l.  We have learned the tricky words, I, is, the. 

As I mentioned this morning, it will be incredibly useful to have the Little Wandle phonics cards at home to embed the sounds.

In maths this week, we have been working with numbers to 5.  We subitised, represented, and learned about composition of 4 and 5.  We then found one more and one less.  We used a variety of practical resources to support our understanding.

Our topic lessons have been about The Little Red Hen.  We retold the story, made our own story maps, talked about characters and investigated windmills.
