Welcome to our week in Peppard class!

The children are learning the routines and settling in well.  

We have started our phonics lessons this week, the children have learned 

s, a, t, p

We have also been practising letter formation.

Here is a link to Little Wandle letters and sounds.  This is the phonics package that we use.

In maths we have been learning about matching and sorting.  We have enjoyed some maths stories including The Button Box.  We then looked at a box of buttons and thought about the criteria we could sort by.  We then sorted and counted our teampoints.

In our topic lessons we have been thinking about our feelings. We read the stories, The colour monster and Have you filled your bucket today?  

If your child does anything helpful over the weekend, please let us know so we can celebrate at school.

We have been lucky with the weather but it looks like it might be more autumnal next week.  Please can you make sure your child has wellies and a coat in school.
