Peppard class - 12.07.2024

Date: 12th Jul 2024 @ 1:56pm

Welcome to our week in Peppard class.  We have really enjoyed using our writing skills this week.  The children are getting so confident with writing and it is wonderful to observe.  In phonics we have been learning about the different sounds that 'ed' make at the end of words.

In maths we have enjoyed some fun problem solving activities, for example, we read the story 'how many' by Kes Gray.  We then used 10 frames to work out how many legs were in the story.  I was amazed to see how the children applied their knowledge of 1-10 to numbers up to 100.

We have had lots of pracitse for the school performance and I am sure you will all be so proud.

Our topic work has included learning about volcanoes.  We watched a science experiment that involved using bicarbonate of soda and vinegar to create an erruption.  We then used clay to make our own volcanoes.
