Welcome to our week in Peppard class

Next week, Mrs Girdler and myself are swapping a day.  I will be working on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and Mrs Girdler will be working onThursday and Friday.  

PE will be on Friday morning rather than Wednesday JUST NEXT WEEK.

We have spent our phonics lessons recapping this week.  Our sounds so far are:

We have been reading words and using flashcards to embed our knowledge of the graphemes.

We have also learned the tricky words,

In maths we have been learning about 1,2 and 3.  We have been investigating composition and ordering.  We have also been talking about subitising (seeing the amount rather than counting).

We have started our literacy topic, The Little Red Hen.  We have listened to the story and learned about how wheat turns into flour.

We then made our own bread rolls.
