Peppard class - 10/05/2024

Welcome to our week in Peppard class.

We have been learning about 'First, now, then' in maths.  This is a story or problem solving method of addition and subtraction.  We used the 10 frames to help us work out the missing part.

In Phonics we have been learning to read longer words and words with short vowels.  We have been concentrating on writing words with digraphs and we have been practising tricky words.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tennis lesson this week, everyone is fantastic and working hard. 

In our topic lessons, we have begun retelling the story - The Very Hungry Caterpillar.  The children made the most beautiful mixed media pictures of the Caterpillar. 

Thank you to Rosie's dad for bringing in his Penny Farthing.  It has been a fantastic opportunity to learn about history and compare this to our modern way of life.
