Highmoor 3rd May

Welcome to our week in Highmoor.

We had a great time in Science making hoop games using electrical circuits with buzzers and switches. We invited Mr Steele and children from Greys class to come and have a go. It was lovely seeing the older children explaining what they had done and how things work to the younger ones.

We finished learning about money and moved on to time in maths. We spent a while recapping what we had learnt previously. It would be really beneficial to your child to ask them to tell you the time throughout the day. We will be working with both digital and analogue clocks and 12 and 24 hour clocks.

In literacy we wrote some amazing pieces of descriptive writing to accompany the book Journey. Our hard work preparing for this last week really paid off with some excellent writing.

In art we made bases ready to build 3D paper landscapes on next week.
