Highmoor 19th July

Welcome to our week in Highmoor.

The highlight of our week of course, was performing at the Kenton on Tuesday. We had such fun there rehearsing on the stage and finally getting to show you our songs. We hope you enjoyed it.

We also took part in a rounders tournament on Thursday against other schools on the common. We all tried our best and came 3rd overall.

In the classroom we have been finishing our newspaper reports in Literacy and are very pleased with the final result.

In maths we have been completing fun tasks using all of our skills learnt this year.

In our final art lesson of the year we put the finishing touches to our dragon eye sculptures. Firstly we had to secure the colourful eyes into the sockets. This was a bit fiddly but we persevered. Last of all we added a golden lustre with acrylic paint, thinking carefully how best to enhance our final piece. The results are amazing with every child having followed the gradual process with commitment and ever growing skilfulness. Well done everyone!
