Highmoor 15th December

Welcome to our week in Highmoor.

The highlight of our week was definitely the Christmas lunch on Wednesday. Whilst the room was being prepared for us we watched the short animation of the book 'The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse' it was a heartwarming and thought provoking half an hour and we made some good observations afterwards about the advice offered in the film. We then had such fun eating together with all the children and loved seeing Father Christmas. Thank you so much to FOPS for organising this for us.

We wrote our non chronological reports in literacy. Everyone did a really great job. The reports were informative and we all thought hard about the different features to include including paragraphs, bullet points, subheadings, pictures, captions and more.

We have been working on our problem solving skills in maths, using the 4 operations which gave us a chance to use the short division and multiplication methods we've been learning.

We had our last session of both rugby coaching and gymnastics this week. It has been great fun doing both these PE activities and we have really improved our skills. We particularly enjoyed Kennylands on Wednesday as we got to choose to go on whatever we wanted and had fun playing parachute games. 

Art has been very relaxing this week we drew some Christmas pictures and made Christmas cards which we will bring home to you at the end of term.
