Our new book for this term is Lila and the Secret of Rain by David Conway. We have read the story and have been coming up with adjectives to create noun phrases to help us decribe the setting. We have also been discussing Lila's character and asking ourselves why we think she is selfless. We have made charater descriptions of Lila that will help us in a few weeks when we come to rewrite our own version of the story. 

Gym

We have started going to Kennylands gym again this term which we have all been very excited about! This week we were practising half jump turns, as well as bouncing on the trampoline, swinging on the bars and jumpimg into the foam pit. We played the pizza game to cool down our bodies.  We can't wait for next week!

Geography

For our new geography topic we will be learning about the weather and the seasons. Today we discussed the different types of weather and what pictures represent the different types of weather on the weather forcast. After that we looked at the weather forcast online to see if we thought it was accurate (and it was!). Each day we are going to check the forcast for the following day, then see how accurate it was by completeing a chart that we have created in our classeoom. We've got our fingers crossed for some more snow!
