WELCOME TO THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR

Our new teacher, Mrs Parsons, has arrived from South Africa and we are enjoying having her as our new teacher. Y6 also welcome Y5 to Springwood and we look forward to the rest of the year with them. 

MATHS

We have been learning about place value. We have been reading and writing large numbers and understanding the value of all the digits. We have also been partitioning numbers and adding using exchanging. 

PE

In PE this term our topic is invasion games, and this week we focused on teamwork and communication. We played four corners which is a game with five teams who link arms within  their teams. Then teams discuss which corner they will run to without breaking their link. The aim is to avoid being the last team to a free corner. It was fun!

We are really glad to be back at school. We are enjoying learning and seeing our friends. We are all looking forward to next week's residential and hope the weather stays nice.
