Literacy

We've been looking at the life of Dr Thomas Barnado. After drawing a timeline of the most significant events in his life, we divided his life into sections. Everyone was given a number from 1 to 5. Each number group then found more information on a part of Dr Barnardo's life. After a while, each person returned to their original group to report back. We've discovered that while he was not perfect, he certainly made a difference in the lives of thousands of children.

Gym

The class had a great time at Kennylands gym on Wednesday. Besides the usual bars and floor work, we played a game with a massive parachute! We pulled it so that it filled with air. Then we took turns jumping on it from the side. It was so much fun.

Art

We continued using our names in forms of art. This week we used felt tip pens and contrasting colours to create lovely pieces of pop art.
