This week we have benn working on the school play and on Thursday we started making props, we have also been drawing backdrops. We have been using paint, cardboard, material, sponges and paper to create props that will help set the scene in Act 2. For the backdrops we have been using bold colours in the form of pastels and colouring pens.
Assessments
This week we had our reading and maths asessments. For the year 6s this was their last aseessments at primary before transitioning onto secondary school. We can now all focus on finishing our summer tern curriculum, preparing for the play and getting ready for secondary school.
Archery
On Wednesday, six children attended an archery festival in Wallingford. It was a very well organised morning but was very hot. Firstly, we practiced the technique for firing the bow with stretchy exercise bands. After that we had 15 practice rounds before going into a competitition with 2 other schools. Harry won the individual competition with 104 points and Peppard were the overall victors with 394 points. Islay hit the bullseye! We had fun!
