It's been a busy week in Springwood class
P.E.
On Monday the class headed down to the netball courts. It was chilly and wet, but everybody enjoyed themselves immensely. Those that had played netball before enjoyed some short 5-aside matches against each other, while Mrs Elson taught the rest of the class the basics of the game.
Remembrance Day Church Service
On Wednesday the whole school walked down to All Saints Church for our annual Remembrance Day service. Each class contributed to the service. Our class shared some of the poems the children had written together, remembering and giving thanks for the role the women of the nation played in World War I and II. Rev. Sarah reminded us all about why it is so important to remember the sacrifices made by so many all those years ago.
Science
This week in Science we started studying how living organisms are classified. We began by investigating different microorganisms and set up some experiments which will be monitored over the next few weeks. We asked questions such as, "Are all bacteria harmful?" and "How many tiny bugs are on our door handles?"
