Hi everyone

This week we continued to explore the number 20: 1 more and one less, 0 - 20 on a number line, greater, more than and less than and equal to.

Year 2 children started the week by playing games using money. They had loads of fun. They continued to learn about the value of various coins and notes. 

In English the children finally finished their 'Toys' poems and have started to learn about instructional writing. Please make your child of the instructional language used in recipes, any 'How to', instructions, directions etc.

This is in preparation for their puppet making.

In Science we learned about the difference between seeds and bulbs and investigated a cross-section of a growing bulb. Be sure to show them a cross-section of an oinion.

In Art we completed our Kandinsky abstracts and drew a second one for our passage. They are all so beautiful!

Grey's class learned about the Chinese New Year . This year is the year of the dragon.

Mrs Elson had the class running around the Common on this lovely sunny day, chasing ball and escaping the 'sharks'!

We are all looking forward to our virtual game drive on Tuesday 30 January at 2.30pm.

Wild Earth TV have asked us to prepare questions to ask the ranger and we shall prepare them on Monday. We would love the children to come to school dressed for a safari!
