13 December

Date: 15th Dec 2024 @ 8:27pm

This week was Assessment Week. Both year groups wrote PiRA and PUMA assessments and the Year 6s wrote SATS practice assessments too.

On Tuesday some of our pupils participated in a cross country race at Rotherfield Football Club. Despite the freezing conditions, all the pupils did well.

Wednesday was Christmas Jumper Day. The children all looked so cheerful in their brightly coloured jumpers. A short walk around the neighbourhood gave FOPS time to set up Greys and Peppard classrooms for the much anticipated Christmas lunch. Everyone enjoyed the lunch and the Year 6s were able to sit with their buddies and make their first Christmas lunch special. After lunch, it was time to walk down to the Peppard Memorial Hall and sing for the ladies at the local WI. A great time was had by all.

In English, the class finished their biographies of Thomas Barnardo. They read the picture book, The Fox and the Star, and started writing a similar story, which they will then type in Book Creator, thus creating their own ebooks. We look forward to seeing their creative results.

Monday is DT day and Wednesday is our trip to the Reading Museum.
