Springwood’s Week 20th December 2013

This week we were all very excited because it was the last week of school.

We started the week with a showing assembly, it was lovely to see so many parents and great to reflect on how much we have learnt this term. We have also been finishing off our Living Advent Calendar, which has been very successful!!

We have had a very festive week, we made mince pies which tasted amazing, but there was flour, mincemeat and butter covering the walls and ceiling!!

We gift wrapped our mince pies and on the tags wrote facts we had found out last week for our leaflets.

On Tuesday morning we had a special visitor – Mr Steele’s Mum who had come in for a Christmas sing-a-long. It was lovely to sing some festive songs – a huge thank you to Mrs Steele!!

We designed and made our own Christmas cards which started off quite an arty week. On Tuesday we got the paints out; we stuck a stamp onto a piece of paper and continued the design here are a few…

We have even got festive in our maths – we had to plan a Christmas party working out the budget and the entertainment. Some of us had to crack a Christmas code – it took quite a while.

Last night we did our Christingle Service in the church – we made the Christingles in the afternoon. We sang a French Carol with Highmoor Class as well as come traditional carols..

We wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!!
