November 29th

This week in Peppard Class we have been preparing for our ‘Picnic on the Moon’. We have been making decorations, creating lists and labels and making food in preparation for blast off.

We have also learnt lots of new information about the Solar System this week. We have created our very own Solar System in the classroom and found out lots of interesting facts.

In Phonics we have learnt the sounds ‘w’, ‘x’ and ‘y’ and we have been continuing to practice our tricky words.

In Mathematics we have been learning how to subtract. We have been practicing using multilink cubes and even started to record our answers.

We have also been very lucky to have 5 new ipads in our classroom. This week we have been using them to practice our letter formation.

On Friday we had a fantastic trip to the moon and enjoyed our picnic food and home baking. It was so lovely to have our families join us in Space.

We are looking forward to our trip to the theatre on Tuesday to see ‘How to catch a star’.
