We’ve been extremely busy this week with Henley Youth Festival activities. On Monday we arrived to find some mysterious boxes in our classroom covered in sheets. We were introduced to Owen from Owens Animals who revealed all sorts of fascinating creatures!
After the excitement of holding snakes and tarantulas, year 3s were off on another adventure to the explorer dome in Henley! Inside the dome, we explored a world of forces. We saw amazing projections of the stars and planets and even got to make our own rockets!
On Wednesday, Highmoor took part in a squash workshop at Henley Leisure Centre. Our instructor Ross taught us lots of new skills and we played some fun games. We all finished feeling rather hot and tired but had lots of fun!
We finished our week off quite nicely with a trip to Henley to see the Travelling by Tuba show. We were taken on a tour around the world by music and explored musical instruments from lots of different countries.
This was the Alpine horn from Switzerland. The biggest instrument we saw!
This was the Tuba. Elio volunteered to help show just how big it is!
All in all we had a fabulous week and would like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved!!
