This week Year Six returned from their week at The Manor. Although the Year Five’s were pleased to see them they weren’t happy about having to give up their chairs in assembly.
We entered “The Monster Poetry Competition” this week, we had to plan a poem about a monster we designed; we used a planning sheet to help us create a great poem. Fingers crossed somebody wins!!
In maths we have been learning about division – we have used the “bus stop method” to divide a two digit number by a one digit number, next week we will make this even trickier by dividing a two digit number by another two digit number.
We played our first football match of the season against South Stoke and won 10 – 3; Miss Hudson was very proud of the team.
On Wednesday we entered The Dragon’s Den, we were put into teams and had to create a pitch, advertising campaign and packaging for a product. The products ranged from a flat tyre to two left shoes. Miss Hudson and Mrs Pitson then had to decide whether they wanted to invest.
